WHAT IS IT?
The Wolfie Day Camp is a fun, teaching soccer experience for female players aged 7-13, and it takes place on NC State Campus.
PLAYER DEVELOPMENT MODEL
The player development model that we use is intentionally designed to advance players through a variety of small-sided games and is one utilized by many countries around the world to enhance player development in "game context."
CAMP DEVELOPMENT
Our camp curriculum is intentional and provides "reality based training" with players experiencing real time learning with technical and tactical problem solving.
PHILOSOPHY
The thinking behind using games, versus the typical drills and isolated technical repetition at most American clubs and camps, is a different approach to player development yet is the same type of reality based training used with the NC State Women’s Soccer program.
Reduced numbers and smaller fields provide in small-sided games provides:
LUNCH
Lunch is not provided in the cost of camp. Campers are welcome to bring their lunch each day, or we will provide a lunch option for purchase each day (previous years: Jersey Mike's, Pizza, and Chick-Fil-A). Please note - campers will be required to buy lunch EVERY day or NO days - only those two options. A couple days prior to camp you will recieve an email with a Lunch Order Form for you to fill out.
CONFIRMATION E-MAIL
Immediately upon registering, you'll recieve a confirmation email. We will send out a second email with more details and specifics on camp logistics a few days prior to the start of camp.
Contact Kim Kern at krkern@ncsu.edu if you have questions about the Wolfie Day Camp.
*** Please be aware - if we have to cancel due to dangerous weather, we MAY have to add an additional day on the end of camp, start an hour earlier or go an hour later each day, etc.***
